7.17.10 Okay so this is not actually food that I made. But it’s a grilled New York steak sandwich from my new favorite eatery (not a title bestowed lightly), Al Capone, at Downtown Crossing. 20 inches of pure nomness…for 9 Washingtons. 9! Only! Enough for two meals! 10 inches for lunch one day, 10 for lunch the next day! They have plenty of other kinds of sandwiches for the same price. If you’re not game enough for 20 inches of sandwich, you can get an 8 inch “Junior.” They also have super cheap pizza too. My dad says they must be a front for the Mafia if they have food that cheap. It’s a family of loudmouthed Italians running the joint, so I guess it’s possible.
